WHY I SHOULD JOIN
The Association provides members with an organized framework for
networking opportunities and meetings with the leaders of the
faculty, administration and regiment. We are also a primary
financial sponsor of student activities at the school. In the past
we have worked to resolve issues concerning academics, residential
life, regimental, and health issues. Most recently, F.E.R.P.A.
(Family Educational Right Privacy Act), prohibits the school from
communicating with you regarding your child's grades, progress,
successes, or failures. As the Parents Association we can not access
individual records. We can however, with the help from other
parents, and the administration, learn what problems students are
facing, and what solutions/remediation may be available.
For your $100 donation you will receive a special Maritime mug, a
calendar of school and association activities, and a tee shirt. All
revenues go directly to the student body. We support numerous
activities, including campus clubs, sports, student events, as well
summer sea term needs.
The Association is proud of its efforts to support our
sons/daughters Your student is pursuing an extremely valuable
degree. It does however "take a village" to earn it. This requires
using the collective resources of the faculty, administration,
Parents Association, and fellow students. Please join the NY
Maritime Parents Association, and make a difference in your child's
NY Maritime success.

Please download and complete the form below and forward with a check for $100 made to the NY Maritime Parents Association. This is a one-time fee. You will begin to receive informative and helpful emails, enhancing the Maritime experience for you and your student. This will be your lifeline to campus activities and issues.
